I See You, New Teacher.

I see you. Fresh from your education program, full of excitement and dreams, ready to make a difference in a child’s life. You’re eager to begin this journey—and maybe a little impatient to dive in and start doing. I remember that feeling. It’s been almost 15 years, but I still recall the anticipation, the hope, and the sense of purpose that wrapped around me like a warm hug.

And yes, I also remember the fear. That gut-deep awareness that the learning isn’t over—it’s only just begun. The realization that becoming a “good teacher” is going to take time, energy, and growth beyond anything a textbook could’ve prepared you for.

So, let me start by saying: you’re not alone.

That wave of panic you feel? Totally normal. You’re beginning to grasp just how much a teacher does in every moment of every day. Even with practicum under your belt, the reality of classroom life hits different. But trust me—this is the start of an incredible ride. Welcome to the journey. You’ve got this!

And guess what? I’ve got you.

I’m here to support, guide, and mentor you as you bridge the gap between what you learned in university and what it means to live teaching in a real classroom. There will be moments that feel overwhelming—times when you question everything. That’s okay. I’ve been there too.

When I was a new teacher, someone shared a graphic with me that showed the emotional rollercoaster most educators experience during their first year. Now, all these years later, I can confirm: those feelings don’t disappear. They just soften with time.

Even now, every September hits like a tidal wave. A new group of kids, fresh expectations, government assessments, individual learning plans, and all the paperwork that gets handed to the principal (never to be seen again!). But over time, I’ve found ways to manage it. I have my own checklist, I plan ahead, and I carve out space on the weekends to breathe and recharge.

As a seasoned (dare I say, old-timer) teacher, my goal is to help you ease into this role with confidence. I want to help you avoid feeling the full force of that September tidal wave.

That’s why I created three coaching programs specifically designed to help new teachers bridge the gap into the classroom. Each one runs for 10 weeks, with bi-weekly 2-hour sessions. You’ll also get:

  • Lifetime access to all resources, guides, and worksheets
  • A small-group environment that lets us focus on your needs
  • A curated list of helpful tools (professional books, TPT sellers, and more)
  • And most importantly, time to actually apply what you’re learning

By the end, you’ll walk away feeling confident, empowered, and prepared to take on your first years in the classroom.

Because you’re not in this alone.
I see you. And I’m here for you.
