Creating Bridges: Where New Teachers Feel Empowered

I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and this website. Hi, my name is Tiffany. I am a fun, quirky, and dedicated teacher with a passion to provide a place for new educators to feel supported and reassured. I have almost 15 years of experience in the classroom and I have felt a shift in the last 5 years from supporting students to mentoring new educators.

I want to BE THAT PERSON for anyone who needs a mentor, someone to voice concerns, or brainstorm with. While also, being a strong supporter for anyone needing an extra bit of help to get through some of the HARDEST YEARS of your career.

There is this graphic that was shared with me when I was a new teacher, basically it was visualizing the emotional rollercoaster that is teaching. Now, the mentor that shared it with me meant it as a supportive, “you will get through this” kind of attitude and I am sure meant well. But I found myself asking questions like…”Why wasn’t I taught that in school?” or “I know how to make a unit and lesson plan but how is that helpful for everyday teaching in 6 different subjects?” And while I am surely not an expert at teaching and every year there seems to be something to remind me that I am still growing, I also seem to have alot to offer and share. My mentality is sharing is better than reinventing, especially true when you are new and everything is challenging to manage.

Together, we will build systems, templates, and organizations that will work to HELP YOU while you focus on BEING THE TEACHER YOU WANT TO BE.
